Explore the Bruce Peninsula National Park in Tobermory, Ontario in an Extreme fashion! With over 20km to cover in 5 adventure-filled days, we will be hiking the most gorgeous part of the Bruce Trail. With epic views including the infamous Grotto, swimming in the crisp Georgian Bay, and gazing the stars on Tobermory’s beautiful rocky beaches, the challenge of hiking with our gear each day is sure to pay off.

About Us ICD is a leader in exercise and diabetes with experts in the science who talk the talk and athletes who walk the walk. We’ve hosted thousands of type 1s in everything from a fun day of sport to week-long camps and extreme challenges. We focus on how to manage diabetes effectively in the midst of real life challenges and use active programs to bring strategies to life. Support Come out and feel the support from others who understand what you are going through and will share in this learning experience. Learn something about yourself and connect with other T1Ds who understand the ins and outs of diabetes management. This is a great opportunity to take in picturesque views and discover what you can accomplish with the right support.
We regularly support all manners of food allergy, celiac disease and many other challenges (physical and mental), so don’t be afraid to reach out and talk with our leadership team to develop a plan for an experience of a lifetime!
Diabetes Management We are able to support any level of control with type 1 diabetes as well as many other additional challenges. So don’t think your blood sugars couldn’t stand up to such an extreme challenge – our guides are experts, experienced and excited to support you on this journey.
Gear We are able to support additional needs for backpacks, high-end sleeping bags and head lamps upon request but proper hiking shoes/boots, rain jacket, athletic wear are required. Please reach out so we can help you be prepared for this adventure. Registered participants will receive a detailed packing list and more detailed directions closer to the event.
Cost All tickets include camping permits, all food and snacks, tents, camp kitchen, backcountry safety equipment, and ICD leadership. Please choose the ticket that works best for you.
