Sugar Valley Youth Adventure
August 10 - 12
Aug 10 7:00 pm to Aug 12 4:00 pm
Join us for a dynamic adventure camp this summer! Located about an hour north of Toronto, Sugar Valley Farm is nestled in the Copeland Forest, one of the loveliest in southern Ontario, full of lush undergrowth, towering old pines, unusual wildflowers and ferns, and, of course, hectares of maples, oaks, beeches, birches and evergreens. You may catch a glimpse of the rare wild turkey, otter, beaver, deer and loons!
We will be camping in tents and hiking on the Ganaraska trail.. Activities include canoeing, swimming, camp fires, nature walks, bouldering, rock climbing and the option to join a fun-filled day climbing and zipping from tree to tree just minutes away at Treetop Trekking Barrie, located at Horseshoe Resort. (additional fees apply)
Who can register for this program This event is open to teens, tweens and young adults. Experience is not required, but a general willingness to learn and try new things will ensure success!
Participants who would like to bring a friend to enjoy this trip are welcome to connect with our team to see if space is available. Youth without T1D are often immersed in our programs to learn about the complex decision making involved and become great supports to their friends and family with T1D, while loving every second of the program.

Wear that ICD attitude with pride!
Our skull logo was designed by founder Chris Jarvis when he and 11 type one teammates took on the Canadian Death Race. One of the world's toughest ultramarathons in the Rocky Mountains, the team covered 445 km in just 24 hours. The crossed needles signify that insulin allows us to take on any challenge, in the gym, in sport and on the trail.
