Come join the ICD team for a special skating event in memory of Brandon Decker, a young adult T1D who found support with his diabetes through ICD. Brandon made a lasting impact on everyone who got the opportunity to meet him, so we will be celebrating his life through a sport that he cherished.
Challenge yourself and your diabetes while experiencing fun, fitness and community. We will be checking, and re-checking our blood sugars together and discuss strategies for staying active with diabetes in the mix.
Special guest Paloma Darvasi (@type1_tenacious), is a Montreal T1D hockey player who will be helping to lead the skate!
We'll bring the hot chocolate and pizza, you bring your low supplies, adjust your basals, and make meaningful connections with T1D peers.
*Skate rentals available at the rink.
