Quality time with peers and diabetes leaders leads to proven positive outcomes in physical and mental health for youth. Our team provides support and mentorship for T1Ds, through experiential learning.

Bring your family or friends out for a holiday skating celebration with ICD! Bundle up and pack your low supplies, it's time to make meaningful connections with T1D peers on and off the ice.

Join ICD team members at the beautiful Olympic Plaza ice rink in downtown Calgary for an afternoon of skating, T1D conversation, and connection this holiday season!

Ice skate rentals are typically available on-site.

At ICD, we firmly believe that finances should never be a barrier to participation in our programs. Our skull logo was designed by founder Chris Jarvis when he and 11 type one teammates took on the Canadian Death Race. One of the world's toughest ultramarathons in the Rocky Mountains, the team covered 445 km in just 24 hours. The crossed needles signify that insulin allows us to take on any challenge, in the gym, in sport and on the trail.
